Nokia has been finding crazy awesome ways to promote their Lumia phones, and they just launched in Copenhagen, Denmark yesterday, in a football stadium (PARKEN). Nokia did a sort of presentation for the media there, and boy, was it awesome. Check it out below:
Like the previous ads, Samsung has released another Galaxy S II commercial making fun of iPhone 4S users, showing how the SGS2 allows you to “Type with your voice”.
Foxconn, the manufacturer of all things Apple (and a couple other mobile brands too), was targeted by Comedian and general awesomeness, Jon Stewart, on the Daily Show, talking about Foxconn’s work conditions, and general despair of employees working there. For example: an employee working a 36 hour shift was only earning 35 cents an hour. Ouch. The skit alternates between funny and oh-crap-this-is-actual-true.
Similar to the last video, Nokia got two bloggers to test out the Lumia 710 to check out the Groups and Sharing capabilities of Windows Phone. Safe to say, they liked it a lot:
Nokia got friend of the blog, Jimmy from NokiaInnovation to show off the speed of the new Nokia Lumia 710 by challenging him to post a picture on Facebook while on a zip wire, before reaching the end. And whatchya know, it worked! Also starring another friend of the blog, Juan from Your Tech Report.
Apple uploaded a new 7 minute long video of their iBooks2 app with Textbooks and how they reinvented it for the iPad. Definitely worth checking out if you’re a fan of the new app:
Here’s a fun new video from EA showing off their awesome new games that they will be bringing to Nokia’s Windows Phones. There’s popular titles like Mirrors Edge, Real Racing 2 and many many more. Check em out in the video below:
Samsung’s back with another ad taking a shot at Apple iPhone users. This time around, it starts off in a coffee shop where the ol’ Barista guy works, serving a customer with a Samsung Galaxy S II. A couple campers come into the shop, and the conversation quickly shifts to camping, and the SGS2 owner quickly users 4G speeds to find a new camping site. This, as you can imagine, is aimed at the iPhone not having a 4G model, which Samsung offers 4G connectivity in the US. Check out the ad below:
They say your life flashes before your eyes when you die, and for Portlandia’s Carrier Brownstein, that’s what happened when she dropped her iPhone. Here’s a hilariously edited flashbook video where Brownstein relives her iPhone life as her beloved smartphone falls to the concrete below in excruciating slow motion:
