Spice Stellar 360 Review – A Mismatch of Ideologies

A week ago when I did the unboxing for this phone, I ended the post saying I was interested by it. Well, it’s surely been an interesting week. For one, I now know for sure that I’m not a QWERTY person. More on that later, though. For those of you who didn’t catch the previous post, here’s a quick recap: The Mi 360, or the Stellar 360, is Spice’s latest offering for the low-end market. It's got 512 MB's of R ...

Spice Stellar 360 Unboxing and Hands On

We’ve entered June, the second month of Q2 2014. I mention that specifically because the phone that Spice just launched goes broadly against the current zeitgeist. This is a time when manufacturers have mastered the art of making touchscreen phones, so much so that last week we saw LG release a 2560x1440 panel in a phone, the diagonal on which measures just 5.5”. Mind you, most high-end 40” televisions tap ...

The Lumia 1520, Or How I Learned to Love the Phablet

Since September 2011, I’ve been making fun of people who use large-screened phones as their daily drivers. Well, mostly my friends, and strangers who held up Galaxy Tabs to their faces in the Delhi Metro. But all of that changed when the tables were turned on me a month ago; I was handed a Nokia Lumia 1520. At 6.0”, this phone is easily the largest screened phone I’ve ever used. Working as a tech reviewer, ...

The Nokia Lumia 520, still a better phone than the Moto E

Now that I’ve got all of you hyperventilating, I’d suggest a glass of hot milk, an Oreo and a nice John Mayer song to bring you back to normal. Done? Then let’s get on with it. The Moto E (check our Hands-On here for more info about it) is an amazing indicator of things to come. It shows the dedication of a top-of-the-line manufacturer to reach out to the “next billion” by making quality hardware available ...

If you're in India, and you've just bought your mom or brother a 520, you can now head to the Nokia MixRadio app to see Priyanka Chopra's favourite Bollywood love songs. Microsoft updated its Facebook Beta app to bring it in line with features from the stable version. Read that sentence twice. Jokes apart though, if you like to keep yourself on the beta track, the good news is that Facebook Beta now supports all of the Social Sharing shenanigans Windows Phone 8.1 bring with it. Which include posting through the Me tile, Photos Hub integration and Share integration. Check ou ...

Spice Pinnacle Stylus Review

The Spice Pinnacle Stylus is a 720p 5.5” dual-SIM phone that is pretty uninspiring in its design, but does have a nice metal ring thingy running around the body of the phone, so it isn’t a complete eye/hand sore. Switching the phone on for the first time really blows your pants off if you’re in a dark-ish room because Spice has a pretty boisterous boot animation. Yellow-ness everywhere! Benchmarks: The Hard ...
