HTC’s earnings report for Q1 2014 were released today, and it’s not all good news unfortunately.
The Taiwanese manufacturer announced a net loss of NT$1.88 billion with revenue of NT$33.12 billion. This is less than the profit they made in Q4 2013, but sales were up 2.2 percent over last year. The new HTC One (M8) has only been on sale for one week of Q1 2014, so we wont see any actual impact by the new flagship till Q2 2014’s results.
Still, HTC is predicting a profit for next quarter though, so hopefully it wont be gloomy days for long.
