The Kodak SL10 and SL25, can be strapped right on to your iPhone or Android smartphone, and used with a Kodak app, to take better images while on the go. Kodak, or rather JK Imaging who hold the global licence for the Kodak name say that the Smart Lenses only weight ‘a few ounces’ and will be available in Spring 2014. The Kodak SL10 has a 10x zoom lens, offering a 28-280mm range, with the ability to capture 1080p video.
While the Kodak SL25 extends this with a 25x zoom and a wider angle 24mm running out to 600mm. Both len cameras have a microSD card slot, and optical image stabilization. Apart from that Kodak isnt really providing any more info on specs, so I guess we’ll just have to wait till they’re released to know more. The Press Release only had this image but apparently the clip is exactly like Sony’s QX lenses.
The SL10 Smart Lens has a price tag of $199 and the SL25 is slated at $299. Cheaper than Sony’s QX lenses, for now.
