Vine, the Twitter-owned service that lets you create short, six-second videos and share them, has been doing pretty okay so far. Users of the service have been pretty creative, but while you could view vines on the web, you could only follow users or check out their profile with the mobile app (available for iOS, Android and Windows Phone). Thankfully, today Vine finally launched web profiles for users!
Yup, you can now view its community of over 40 million users, right from your computer’s browser. Or as the new blog post anouncing the web interface puts it: “Log in at vine.co to view your home feed and like, comment, and share videos just as you do on our mobile apps.” Users can also now reserve their preferred URL as well.
Vine also announced a new “TV Mode” where you can “Click the TV Mode button in the upper right corner of your feed or any profile to view the collection of videos in sequence and in full screen mode.”
So far, Vine on the web loads a heck of a lot quicker than the Vine app loads the short videos on any of the mobile platforms I’ve tried it with.
