Rejoice true believers! The much-anticipated Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean Update for the Sony Xperia S is now finally rolling out.
I’m so happy for Xperia S owners, that I’m not even going to mention how Android 4.1 is still not the latest version of Android out there….. Whoops.
Still, good news for owners of last year’s Sony flagship, and the update should bring it up to par with the Sony Xperia Z in terms of software. The news comes in from Sony Mobile France who tweeted the news, stating (translated): “Xperia S: The deployment for 4.1.2 build has just begun for the first builds.”
Xperia S: le déploiement de la 4.1.2 vient de débuter pour les 1ers builds FR.

I’m not entirely sure what ‘first builds‘ refers to in this context, but if it’s rolling out to units in Europe, then Asia shouldnt be too far behind. If you’re an Xperia S owner and see an update, let us know eh?
