Indian manufacturer Micromax loves taking shots at Apple and Samsung with their advertising, which has happened a couple times in the past. This week Micromax made light of Samsung India’s EMI scheme for their mobile phones, where users can choose to pay for an expensive mobile phone over several installations, instead of the entire amount at once. But according to Micromax, their smartphones on the other hand are affordable enough that you dont need to depend on a stressful EMI or other schemes to buy their devices.
The company carried out the ad you see in the image above in both newspapers and online on their Facebook page as well:
More than a million people have already bought from the incredibly loaded Micromax Canvas range of phones!
Without EMI, 0% interest, or any other schemes because our phones come at prices that don’t need any!
The ad also highlights Micromax’s recent achievement of more than a million units of their Canvas series phones sold. Their affordably priced, phablet-like Canvas phones have been doing pretty well, and capitalised on the large-screen-phone-fad that Samsung’s Galaxy Note started, so it’s not a huge suprise to hear they were doing well.
Heh, ballsy for sure.
