Apple releases iOS 6.1.3 to patch lockscreen vulnerability

Yesterday, Apple released iOS 6.1.3 for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch to fix a lockscreen vulnerability that was discovered recently, just one month after they released iOS 6.1.2 in order to patch an Exchange bug.

There’s also supposed to be Map Updates for Japan, and a couple “security patches” as well. To grab the update, just head into your settings menu to check for it over-the-air, or plug in your iDevice to iTunes.

Worth noting is that this update also patches some vulnerabilities that allowed for the latest Evasi0n jailbreak, so if you plan on keeping the jailbreak, stay away from this one.

Well, it patches a tad more than the lockscreen vulnerability. It killed Evasi0n exploit but then again, there was some vulnerability on the LS left open. Funny times for Apple, I guess.
