XOLO X1000 (powered by Intel Atom Z2480) launched in India for Rs 19,999 [Gallery]

At an event in Goa today, Intel and Lava launched the Xolo X1000, for a price of Rs 19,990.

This is the third Android smartphone by the company with an Intel chip, along with the Xolo X90 and the Xolo X500. The X1000 features a 4.7 inch 720p curved glass display, 2Ghz Intel Atom Z2480 processor, 1 GB RAM, 8 GB of internal memory with a microSD card slot, 3G, 8 Megapixel camera and runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, all powered by a 1900 mAh battery. That being said, the Intel processor in the X1000 is based on the company’s Medfield Platform, which is already a generation older than the current Clover Trail+ platform.

Goa, India, March 14, 2013 –XOLO today announced the introduction of the XOLO X1000, the latest smartphone in a growing portfolio of devices with Intel Inside. The X1000 is available at a best buy street price of INR 19,999 on Flipkart.com and Xolo.in starting today till the 20th of March and will be widely available through the XOLO retail channels post the 20th.
The XOLO X1000 is powered by an Intel® Atom™ Processor Z2480 with Intel® Hyper-Threading Technology, and can achieve speeds of 2.0 GHz – helping to provide consumers with a fast multi-tasking and Android* applications experience.
The smartphone is also equipped with a 400 MHz Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) to enable full 1080p HD video encoding and playback and render realistic 3D image reproduction, making the X1000 the absolute entertainment device, capable of providing users with immersive gaming and video experience.
It also comes with a 4.7-inch SHARP™ HD 2.5 D edge curved glass display which consumers will find big enough to enjoy videos and games and at the same time convenient enough to be carried as a phone. Usage of a single glass that integrates seamlessly with the Unibody design nullifies any possible refraction and adds to the flawless viewing experience. Resolution offered is 312 pixels per inch (PPI).
This stylish new phone has a 1.3MP front camera as well as features an 8MP camera with advanced imaging capabilities like a burst mode which operates at 15 frames per second (FPS).
