Google Play Celebrates One Year Anniversary, puts Apps & Games on Sale

The Android market got a big ol’ rebrand to Google Play last year, and as such the search giant is celebrating the one year birthday of the app store by putting some of their apps and games on sale.

Depending on the region, you’ll see some big discounts on apps, movies, and books with many apps being 50 percent off, and some books going for just $5 or less, with movie rentals down to about $1. The list in the Indian store over at my side of the world is a bit short but hopefully your Google Play Store has more stuff on sale. Apparently the celebrations will be going on for an entire week, so check back again tomorrow and after to see what new apps or games are on sale!
