Video: Nokia Maps demonstrates their benefits vs Google Maps Offline

Nokia, or rather Here Maps, just published a video that compares Nokia Maps on Windows Phone 8 to Google Maps running on a Galaxy S III. Since the video is made by Here Maps, it’s admittedly a bit biased but they do a good job of demonstrating the ability to download maps for offline usage whereas Google maps only lets you cache maps which isnt a ‘true offline’ experience. Heh. Check it out right below:

[quote_simple]Using a mapping application offline is certainty one of the most requested features, when travelling internationally without a data plan or when travelling underground in the subway. This is something that Nokia Maps has been offering for years already and the benefit of which other players have just recently recognized.
So why do we still believe we are offering the best offline solution in the market? We compared Nokia Maps on a Nokia Lumia 920 with Google Maps on a Samsung Galaxy SIII to explain.[/quote_simple]
