In a blog post earlier this week, Qualcomm talked about their new Quick Charge 1.0 technology that’s used in some phones that are powered by their Snapdragon chips, which allows it to charge “up to 40 percent faster than older phones.”
It’s done using existing USB hardware on phones that are supported, and as a result means you dont have to wait around all day for a phone to charge, especially since battery capacities are getting larger and larger nowadays to support mobile screens that are getting even more bigger. It’s supported on some of the latest Snapdragon phones from both Android and Windows Phone as well.
