iOS 6.1 lock screen bug allows it to be bypassed with button mashing

With every new version of iOS, there’s some new flaw discovered nowadays, heh. And with the release of iOS 6.1, apparently there’s a new bug where you can bypass someone’s lockscreen on an iOS device.

The Youtube tutorial is embedded below, but basically it’s a combination of button mashing and fake emergency calls, that gives you access to the iOS phone app, where you can then edit contacts or call other numbers, etc. It’s not very easy to replicate, because really you’ll need to be quick, but it might still be a concern for some folks. Check it out demonstrated in the video below:

Hopefully Apple sends out a software update to fix this.
