Instagram announced today, that users can now browse their feeds on the Web, in their desktop browser.
All you have to do is go to instagram.com and sign in to your account. Instagram has been expanding their presence on the desktop web, but insists that their still a mobile-first social network. Instagram co-founder Kevin Systrom stated:
[quote_simple]“We believe that you should be able to access Instagram on a variety of different devices, any of which may be convenient to you at a given moment, including your desktop computer or tablet. We do not offer the ability to upload from the web as Instagram is about producing photos on the go, in the real world, in realtime. On the other hand, Instagram for the web is focused on making the browsing experience a fast, simple and enjoyable one.”[/quote_simple]
This follows Instagram’s launch of profiles on the web late last year, and now allows you to have a similar viewing experience on mobile or desktop. Creating images will only be allowed on mobile devices though, ie: the iPhone and Android phones.
All I need now, is a Windows Phone client, please.
