As a Sega fan, this is good news for me! Sonic CD and Super Monkey Ball 2 are now free for Nokia Lumia Windows Phones.

I’m not entirely sure how long the free offer is for, but Sega’s Super Monkey Ball 2: Sakura Edition, also known as SMB2:SE, consists of simply rolling a monkey around in a clear ball through mazes while picking up bananas. It’s quite challenging though some might find the classic graphics a bit dated.

[quote_simple]Super Monkey Ball™ is back. Everyone’s favorite monkeys keep the ball rolling with this exclusive version of the arcade to console classic for your smartphone.

Roll around the Far East, as you tilt and steer one of four adorable monkeys through 125 themed mazes and a beautiful world of cherry blossoms. Just grab your bananas along the way to earn extra lives before time runs out. It’s so easy to play, even a monkey could do it !![/quote_simple]

Then there’s classic SEGA game Sonic CD which is also available for free for Lumia devices.

Sonic CD is basically a remake of the classic 16-bit game, that has a couple tweaks to make it transition over to touch controls, and a couple other things.

[quote_simple]It’s time to usher the past into the future with this enhanced recreation of Sonic CD!

In order to put an end to Dr. Eggman’s nefarious schemes, Sonic must use the power of Little Planet to travel through time; breaking Dr. Eggman’s hold over the future by destroying his machines in the past and recovering the missing Time Stones!

Now featuring 16:9 widescreen, achievements, leaderboards and both the US and Japanese soundtracks, experience the adventure through time that introduced the world to Amy Rose and Eggman’s most evil creation, Metal Sonic.[/quote_simple]
