Intel and Lava launched the XOLO X500 in India today, the first smartphone powered by Intel’s 1.2 GHz Atom Lexington Z2420 processor, for Rs 8999.
The Xolo X500 is a dual-sim phone which features a 3.5 inch 480 x 320 pixels TFT capacitive display and runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich on 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal memory with a microSD card slot, and the Intel Lexington Z2420 processor which has Hyper Threading technology offering less power consumption while still allowing the processor to keep the UI quick and responsive, and handle multitasking as well. There’s a 5 Megapixel camera at the back with 1080p video recording capabilities, and a 1500 mAh battery powering it all.
All that and 3G HSPA+ 21 Mbps, Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Available across India after this weekend.
