Nokia EOS 41 Megapixel PureView Lumia Coming Later This Year?
Now here’s a new rumor that I really, reaaalllyy hope is true. Apparently Nokia is going to launch a Lumia Windows Phone sometime this year, with the same 41 Megapixel camera as the Nokia 808 PureView.
The 808 PureView was one heck of a kickass phone, and the camera was so impressive that I went out and bought one on launch day here. The only issue for many though, was that it ran Symbian, Nokia’s now-abandoned mobile operating system. As a result, Nokia only sold the 808 in select few markets, and didnt really market it for too long. This new rumor comes in from the Verge, who are stating that the “Nokia EOS” will be made out of aluminium instead of the polycarbonate use on current Lumia phones, will be a ‘high-end’ phone and will have a completely new design as well. The windows phone will have a similar sensor as the 808 PureView, though there’s no word on whether it’ll have a Xenon flash as well.
This wont be the same device as the “Nokia Catwalk” though, which is supposed to be the successor to the Lumia 920 coming later this year.
I really, reaaaalllllyyyy hope this one is true. And that Nokia Windows Tablet rumor as well. Looks like it’s going to be an interesting year, eh?
