Temple Run 2 has been downloaded 20 million times already, since it’s debut on the iOS App Store 4 days ago.
Day one saw 6 Million downloads of the free, highly anticipated game. That means the game has seen one of the most successful launches on iOS, with games like Angry Birds Space hitting 10 Million downloads in three days. That’s great in terms of games, though in terms of apps Google’s Maps for iOS saw 10 Million downloads in 48 hours, heh. The original Temple Run has seen about 170 Million downloads across Android, iOs and the Amazon App Store.
The game by developer Imangi Studios, is free to download but has in-game payments for extra loot. If anything, it’s proof that the free-to-play price model is great for developers eh? Doesnt necessarily translate to all games and apps out there, but atleast for Temple Run it seems to be working out just great.
Temple Run 2 is supposed to release on the Google Play Store for Android devices some time this week. We’ll letchya know when we do, folks.
