Mobile accessory maker Golla Suing Jolla over their similar-sounding name

Popular Mobile Accessory maker Golla is apparently suing Jolla, the makers of the upcoming Sailfish OS, over the similarity of their name.

Both companies are based out of Finland, which sorta makes this a bit awkward. Golla feels that they are justified in suing Jolla because the Golla name has been around for 12 years now and the company has spent over 2 million euros registering the brand. Golla also states that they might make smartphones some day, and hence it would be awkward to have two smartphone manufacturers with the similar-sounding name.

Sounds like Finland is having a lot of mobile drama nowadays, eh? More info over at the (Finnish) source link below.

[Thanks for the heads up Piotr!]
