Unboxing the HTC Windows Phone 8S
Here on UnleashThePhones, our coverage of Windows Phone 8 has been very much focused on high-end hardware from Nokia and HTC, namely the Lumia 920 and Windows Phone 8X. This week, I’ve not only managed to get the Lumia 820 in for review; the diminutive HTC Windows Phone 8S arrived at my doorstep earlier today as well. The HTC Windows Phone 8S is currently the lowest-cost Windows Phone 8 device you can buy, but it does not compromise on materials or build quality, sporting a unibody construction and the same soft-touch plastic used on the more expensive 8X in a compact 4-inch form factor that fits amazingly well in my hand. In fact, I have immediately fallen in love with the size and weight of the 8S compared to the thicker, larger and heavier Lumia 820; it will be interesting to see how these two devices stack up and which gives you more bang for your buck.
