Steve Ballmer – Microsoft sold Five times more Windows Phones This Christmas

Microsoft doesnt usually like showing off official numbers for how many Windows Phones they manage to sell, but at a surprise appearance at Qualcomm’s keynote at CES 2013 today, Microsoft’s Steve Ballmer let it loose that “Windows Phone was selling five times more devices than the same period last year” during Christmas.

How much that really means is a guessing game since there are no official figures for 2011 just yet, but hey it’s good to know that their new mobile platform has finally started being embraced by the masses.

Now if we could just get that darn notification center.
