Nokia 808 PureView gets a minor firmware update to v113.010.1508

There seems to be a minor update for the Nokia 808 PureView rolling out, bringing it up to firmware version v113.010.1508.

Apparently this update is only available via Nokia PC Suite, and weighs in at a huge 420MB. The update is supposedly only to improve performance & fix various bugs, but there arnt any new features discovered by folks who managed to get the update so far.

My 808 is still on 1506 and doesnt seem to have gotten the update over-the-air just yet. I’d imagine the OTA update will be much, muuuuch smaller in terms of file size, so I’d highly advice just waiting for the update to come along. Also worth noting, is that so far the update has rolled out to units in the Middle East and some parts of Europe, so it might not be entirely meant for all devices from all regions.

In any case, if you happen to get the update on your 808, let us know if you found anything new, eh?

    OTA said there were no updates. Via Nokia Suite, this was a 420MB download. I’ve browsed for an hour now and have noticed no differences. Subtle things I would not notice.

  Finally noticed a change. For some reason my language changed to English UK. I’m in the USA. The TTS voice also changed and it will not let me change it back to English US. Not exactly what I was looking forward to.

      If using 3.5G data, the 808 would sometimes randomly reboot. If you switched to 2G or regular 3G, you would be fine. I sent my 808 in for repair due to this issue a week ago.

    I wouldn’t know if I had a 3G bug. I don’t pay for data. I only use WiFi.
