Windows Phone 7.8 Update Now Rolling out for the Nokia Lumia 800
The much-anticipated Windows Phone 7.8 Update is now rolling out for the Nokia Lumia 800.
Not a huge suprise since the firmware was hanging around on Nokia’s update servers, Navifirm for a while now. This comes in from WP7.pl who reportedly got the update on their unit. Apparently it consists of 4 seperate updates, including a Nokia Update for Windows Phone, then 7.10.8773 to 7.10.8779.8, then 7.10.8783, and lastly to version 7.10.8858.136. Eesh.
Once you’re all updated, you’ll notice the new boot screen and the resizable live tiles, along with general performance improvements though there’s no official changelog just yet. To check for the update, simply connect your Lumia 800 to your computer and check whether it’s available using Zune, Windows Phone app for Windows 8, or Windows Phone Connector for Mac. Dont panic if the update’s not available just yet though, since it might still be rolling out across regions.
We’re still checking out unit, but if you find the update on your Lumia 800, let us know right in the comments below y’all.
