iTunes Music Store Launches in 56 New Countries [Including India]

As we mentioned earlier today, Apple launched the iTunes Music and Video store here in India, bringing local and international music and video content to the subcontinent. Apple also issued a press release stating that they’ve launched the iTunes Music Store in 55 other countries today, with 3 other countries getting video.

The new countries that got the music store today include Belarus, Moldova, Russia, Turkey, and Ukraine in Europe, while in Asia and Asia Pacific, the list includes India, Nepal, Fiji, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Micronesia, Mongolia, Papua New Guinea, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan. MacRumors also lists Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Egypt, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea-Bissau, Israel, Jordan, Kenya, Lebanon, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Niger, Nigeria, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Swaziland, United Arab Emirates, Uganda, Zimbabwe, Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Dominica, Grenada, St. Kitts and Nevis, Trinidad and Tobago
