Google Maps Android API 2.0 released for Developers [video]
Google has bought a lot of new features to Google Maps for Android in the last couple months, but a lot of said features, werent available to third party developers, for them to mess around with.
Not a problem anymore, with Google releasing version 2.0 Maps API that brings better support for tablets and more advanced information layers for maps, like indoor maps:
- More dynamic and flexible UI designs for large screen Android devices, such as tablets, using Android Fragments
- Adding more Google Maps layers in their apps including satellite, hybrid, terrain, traffic and now indoor maps for many major airports and shopping centers
- The ability to create markers and info windows with less code
