With Windows Phone 8 being officially launched with HTC and Nokia’s devices, a question on a lot of WP7 owners minds is, where the heck is Windows Phone 7.8?
Microsoft has been oddly quiet about the update, though we’ve gotten a look at WP7.8 running just fine on a Nokia Lumia 510, but there’s no word on when the update will actually be coming along. Paul Thurrott from WinSuperSite posted about how annoying this was, prompting a Microsoft spokesperson to reply, letting folks know that they do intend to make their Windows Phone 7.8 intentions clear soon, telling TechCrunch that “we have made no further announcement on this but hope to share more details in the near future.”
Ugh, that’s not really the kind of statement folks stuck with Windows Phone 7.5 want, but get atleast Microsoft is bringing some sort of update after all, eh? Hopefully the “near future” is before 2013. Hopefully.
