Nokia announced a new entry level QWERTY S40 device today, the Nokia Asha 205.
The Asha 205 measures 113 x 61 x 13 mm, weighs 94 grams and features a dedicated Facebook button in addition to the QWERTY keyboard, for quick access to everyone’s favourite social network. Apart from that, you have a 2.4 inch QVGA display with GPRS/EDGE connectivity, a 1020 mAh battery, VGA camera and microSD card slot with 10MB of internal memory.
There’s also a new file-sharing service called “Nokia SLAM” that works similarly to Bump, letting you transfer media between bluetoothe-enabled devices without the need to manually pair. And even more exciting, is the fact that it has a new voice-guided camera for portrait shots. And like most Asha phones, you get access to 40 free EA games on the Nokia Store, along with Twitter, Facebook and eBuddy pre-installed.
It’s expected ship sometime this Q4, in both single SIM (37 days standby) and Dual SIM (25 days standby) versions in White, Cyan, Magenta, and Orange color options. Expected price of about $62 or Rs 3500.
