Google Nexus 7 Now Available in India for Rs 19,990

It took a while, but the Asus-made Google Nexus 7 tablet is now finally available in India for Rs 19,990. Right on schedule.

Asus India’s PR confirmed to us that the 16GB Wifi version of the Google tablet is available in the subcontinent starting today, across stores and online Indian retailers, like Croma. No word on the 32GB version or the Wifi+3G version Nexus 7 though.

The Nexus 7 features a 7 inch 1280 x 800 pixels IPS display, and runs stock Android 4.1 Jelly Bean on a 1.2 Ghz quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard memory. There’s also NFC, Bluetooth, Wifi, a 1.2 Megapixel front facing camera, and a 4325 mAh battery to keep it going along.

Eesh. That Rs 19,990 price (about $370) is pretty extravagant versus the US price of just $199. Looks like Asus is trying to make a profile on it after all, eh?

At this price range I do rather go for Samsung Galaxy tab 2 which offer much better features than google nexus.

  Wow weird it was listed right on Croma. According to Asus it’s in stores right now but I’ll ask their PR and update if they tell me anything different lol. Maybe they’re out of stocks or something.
