Asus Padfone Launched in India at Rs 64,999

The ASUS Padfone smartphone + Tablet combo launched in India today, at a price of Rs 64,999.

On one hand, you have an Android 4.0 ICS smartphone with a 4.3 inch super AMOLED qHD display, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon dual core S4 processor, an Adreno 225 GPU, an 8 megapixel f/2.2 rear camera with an LED flash and a front facing VGA camera for video calls.

You also have 16 to 32GB of onboard memory, with a microSD card slot also available, and the usual Bluetooth 4.0, HDMI, GPS, A-GPS, a gyroscope, a compass, yada yada all powered by a 1520mAh battery.

Then you have a 10.1 inch tablet that the PadFone slides into like a dock, that also extends the battery life by 9 times, and the ergonomics as well. You can also get a full hardware QWERTY keyboard dock, and a stylus that also doubles up as a headset to receive calls. Not too bad at all, eh?
