Samsung skipping ICS for Galaxy Ace 2 & S Advance, will get Jelly Bean instead

Many mid-range android devices nowadays are stuck on Android 2.3 Gingerbread, which is a pity. The good news though is that if you have a Samsung Galaxy S Advance or Galaxy Ace 2, you’ll be getting the update to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean soon!

Yup, apparently Samsung has decided to skip Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich for the two smartphones and go straight to Jelly Bean instead. Not a bad idea at all. This comes in from Samsung Bulgaria’s Facebook page so while it does sound like an official statement, I’d still say take this with a grain of salt until the updates actually arrive.

Hopefully it wont be too long a wait!
