Firefox for Android Updated: New Tablet UI, Faster

Firefox for Android became a lot quicker on smartphones with it’s recent update, but with today’s new version 15 update, the browser gets quicker on tablets too.

Quicker startup and page load times, and panning or zooming, and general web app performance, along with a brand new interface for tablets and the new “awesome bar” and a new “Find in Page” feature. You can also swipe to close tabs or select desktop versions of sites.

* Desktop sites can be requested from the menu
* Better tabs experience – swipe to close
* Support for SPDY networking protocol v3
* Bookmarks & history can be imported from stock browser in the Settings
KNOWN ISSUES:
*Kyocera Echo temporarily de-supported
*Firefox for Android uses the same locale as your system language settings
