Looks like the tablet industry is really taking off, eh? Apple’s iPad is obviously in the lead, but a new report by comScore shows how well tablets are doing in the U.S. Market.
Apparently one in 4 (Or 23.6 percent) of smartphone owners in the U.S also have a tablet, as of the end of April 2012. That’s up 14 percent from 2011. 10.6 percent of non-smartphone owners have a tablet, which is 5 times are much as last year, and totally 16.5 percent of all U.S. mobile users have a tablet and own atleast one such device in their home, which is up 12 percent from last year.
Since tablet costs are going down, we’ll definitely see that number increase, even globally. Not many of those might be Android tablets, but those new Windows 8 RT tablets are looking pretty snazzy, eh?
