LG focusing on Android, ‘no immediate plans’ for Windows Phones going forward

According to a statement by the company to the Korea Herald, LG has “no immediate plans” to produce any more Windows Phones, instead focusing even great on Android going forward.

Their reason? Underwhelming retail performance “The total unit of Windows Phone sold in the global market is not a meaningful figure.” LG states that they plan to continue research and development efforts on WP but I dont think it would result in much. LG hasnt made a new Windows phone since the dated Optimus 7, so it’s doubtful we’ll see a Windows Phone 8 ‘Apollo’ handset coming out of the company.

That just leaves Nokia, HTC and Samsung in the Windows Phone game then?
