AT&T Q1 2012 results beat their previous smartphone sales record

AT&T announced their First Quarterly 2012 earnings today, and they look pretty good!

The carrier sold a record 5.5 million smartphones, out of which 78 percent were iPhones. There were 1.2 Million Android and Blackberry phones making up the difference, but no worth on the non-iPhone sales unfortch. They also added 726,000 subscribers for the three months ending March 31.

AT&T have been hyping their new flagship smartphone, the Nokia Lumia 900 since it launched earlier this month, so it’ll be interesting to see their next Quarter results, eh?
