The new iPad’s Retina Display gets compared to the old under a microscope

UI designer Lukas Mathis has managed to compare the display on the positively ancient-now iPad 2, to the new iPad and boy does the newer tablet show up the older.

The display pixels were also compared to other devices on his blog, which you can check out below. He used a USB microscope and examined the quadrupled pixel count on the new tablet, vs the iPad 2, iPhone 4S, Blackberry Playbook, Kindle Fire and more, to show off the superiority of the new iPad’s screen and it’s high pixel count.
