HTC Endeavor launching as ‘HTC One X’ and Ville as ‘HTC One S’

Apparently the HTC Endeavor (aka the HTC Edge, or HTC Supreme) might launch as the HTC One X. Ugh HTC and their names.

The HTC Endeavor was supposed to be a quad core smartphone with a Tegra 3 processor and 1GB of RAM along with a 720p screen according to leaks. According to PocketNow the HTC Ville which is supposed to have a dual core 1.5Ghz processor with 1GB of RAM and a qHD screen, will also receive the new name treatment, as the HTC One S. Both the X and S would be in superscript. Interesting branding choice for their 2012 smartphones, eh?

Both devices are supposed to run Android 4.0 with HTC Sense 4.0 on top. Think these names are better than HTC’s “Desire”, “Sensation” and “ChaCha” model names of previous names?
