Apparently Samsung has filed for a “Galaxy Camera” trademark with the U.S Patent and Trademark Office, marking Goods and Services as “Cameras and camcorders.”
It might not mean that we’ll see Android powered cameras by the Korean manufacturer, but Samsung is already using the Galaxy brand name for their premium smartphones, tablets and PMPs so a camera wouldnt be surprising. If such cameras are released, one would assume they’d focus on letting users quickly and easily share images like on a smartphone, just with better optics and a proper zoom, maybe?
