Nokia Lumia taxis offering free rides in London for Social Media Week

Quick Headsup y’all. Nokia has sent out a couple Lumia branded taxis in London for ‘Social Media Week’ (this week) that will be offering free rides.

All you have to do is hail it down.

Nokia is the global headline sponsor of Social Media Week, which is basically a global multi-city conference. Here is a quick introduction to the event and what you can expect February 13-17, 2012. Nokia will be on the ground in select cities.

You can take part by attending the events in New York, Miami, DC, Paris, Hamburg, London, Tokyo, Singapore, Hong Kong, São Paulo, Toronto, and San Francisco – or participate in the discussion on Twitter with hashtag #SMW12 and watch the live streams online at: http://socialmediaweek.org/

And yup that’s about it. Nokia have always been great and pro-active at social media. Heck, I’d say they are the best mobile brand at it in the business, and Windows Phone is a great platform for social network users, so it’s not surprising to see the Finnish Giant sponsor such an event. Hopefully it’ll get a good amount of attention to the Lumia devices in the process.
