Google might be working on a wireless streaming home entertainment system according to the Wall Street Journal. That’s a huge chance for a company who so far has only stuck to software, and allowed other companies to use or create their hardware.
Interestingly, the Android team is supposedly the ones developing it. There’s already Google Music and Google TV, most of it restricted to regions, but a big ol’ mash-up of them all would make sense, eh? They own Motorola Mobility now so maybe they’ll have access to hardware manufacturing. Take it with a grain of salt, but I’m sure there’s a ton of folks out there, yours truly included, that wouldnt mind a Google home theater-like system powered by Android, heh.
