Google launching their own cloud storage service called “Google Drive”?

Google might announce their own shared cloud storage solution, according to a report by the Wall Street Journal today.

Their source said that Google will launch the service, called Google “Drive” to offer an alternative to Dropbox and Microsoft’s Skydrive in terms of functionality, being able to store photos, documents and videos on Google’s servers, accessible from any Web-connected device so that the files are easily sharable with others.

The service might launch in the coming weeks or even months, and will be free unless you want to “store a large amount of files”, in which case there will be a premium service with more capacity. Microsoft’s integrated Skydrive with Windows Phone, so it wouldnt be a suprise if Google integrates Drive in their Android devices, eh?
