Adobe – No Flash support coming to Chrome for Android

Chrome for Android beta, was released yesterday with something in particular, missing: Flash support.

Adobe has posted about that decision, stating that the lack of Flash support in Chrome for android, is in line with their decision to stop development of Flash Player for mobile devices, instead choosing to advance HTML5 in partnership with Google. There’s still some Adobe technologies in there though, like CSS Regions.

Android’s stock browser still has flash support though but Google aims to eventually replace that with Chrome for Android, which would effectively be the end of mobile flash player seeing how both iOS and Windows Phone dont support the technology either. Adobe has stressed however that these changes will not affect Flash for PC.
