Brandon Watson, head of Windows Phone developer experiences, leaves to join Amazon’s Kindle team

Huge news today, as Head of Windows Phone Developer Experiences, Brandon Watson, has apparently left Microsoft’s phone unit.

Brandon Watson, popular in the Windows Phone developer community, will be joining Amazon’s Kindle Team., as the Director of the Kindle Cross Platform team. He will be workong on the Kindle Apps product development roadmap across 3rd party platforms, including the Windows Phone app.

So far Microsoft has not commented on a replacement for Watson.
