LG have make a profit from handset division, post Q4 net loss

LG Electronics reported their fourth-quarter 2011 results today, and the South Korean company had a net loss of 111.6 billion won (which is about $97.73 million) during their quarter ending December 31.

Compared to the 245.7 billion won loss they had in the same period last year, it’s an improvement for the company, thanks to their TV and handset divisions. Their Q4 results were still down by 6 percent, but they had an operating profit of 23 billion won (about $20 billion).

Their handset division specifically, reached an operating profit of 9.9 billion won, which is a major improvement from the 262 billion won loss they had last year. Device sales were 17.7 Million. That’s a lotta Optimuses, eh?
