I just wanted to take time out to extend a personal Thank You to each and every one of you for another fantastic year together. Although 2011 wasn’t a great year for many folks, it was a fantastic year for me, personally. And for a little blog with a strange name that I started on a dusty old computer, in a dusty old room, in a dusty old house in Udupi, India, it’s been an unbelievable year.

Last year, we checked out the future in Tokyo, and the general awesomeness at SXSW, Austin. We sweated it out in Singapore (at CommunicAsia lah!), got sea-sick in Hong Kong (where we met Belle). We got our minds blown at Adobe’s MAX convention in Los Angeles, and realized how far from level 35 ub3r g33k we were, at Intel’s AppUp Elements in Seattle. We confuzzled the Nokia Maps Team in Berlin, and we shook hands (& generally acted inappropriately) with Nokia’s CEO in London. For a little mobile blog with a strange name, 2011 was pretty darn awesome.

My own personal highlight from last year, was meeting people. There’s not a single person I would avoid if I had to do it again (TWSS!). I made new friends, who had no idea how to pronounce the blog’s name, and I met old friends (whom I had previously only known online) who instinctively saw me and yelled “ZOMG it’s CJ!“. All in all, what more could I ask for? If I met you last year, I want you to know. You’ve made my 2011 fan-freakkin-tastic.

And … that’s pretty much all, folks. I’m really at a loss that another year has come and gone but, well, here we are. I hope every one of us has an amazing 2012, and that we all stay safe and sound. Have a blast, enjoy!
