Nokia 801T launched in China – TD-SCDMA capable 4″ Symbian Smartphone

Nokia has apparently launched a new high end Symbian device for the Chinese market. Announced at the Nokia Conversations China blog, this device is aimed at the High End Business Elite users.

The device has a main body of a Steel Material, and features the industry’s first one-piece stainless steel back panel (Unibody). It hosts a 4″ large “Wyatt Screen” Touch Display and has a build in telescopic TV Antenna for Mobile TV (CMMB). The Nokia 801T also features a NFC chip in line with all of Nokia’s latest Symbian devices.

Interestingly, the 801T doesn’t seem to feature the Nokia Belle UI on Symbian, instead it features what looks like Symbian Anna. We hope a Belle upgrade is planned for this device as well.

Looks wise, this is probably the most stylist Symbian device yet, surpassing the high standards set by the Nokia N8. I hope the next Nokia Camera flagship expected later in 2012 looks similar to this.
