Nokia India marketing huge on Lumia 800 and 710 [Concert in Bangalore and Mumbai Today, Artificial Snow in Kolkatta]

Nokia India has been pushing the Lumia Windows Phones like there’s no tomorrow, and “The Amazing Everyday” campaign has been going on pretty well in Europe, and U.S.A lately with giant Windows Phones to celebrate the launch.

Nokia India though has a huge marketing campaign planned, some of which we saw on Thursday night at the retail store launch, and some of which we say yesterday at an impromptu concert here in Delhi. We’re still uploading the pictures and video from the concert but just to let you know how huge the campaign is going to be, the plans Nokia has are:

Pre-bookers get handed the Lumia 800 from tennis star Sania Mirza at the Ambience Mall in Gurgaon. (Happened on Thursday Night)
Luxury helicopter rides for consumers who buy the Lumia 800 in Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Chennai.
Toll exempt for more than 15,000 vehicles on the DND freeway, between Delhi and Noida which happened yesterday. (Happened Yesterday)
Impromptu dance or concert performances in Delhi (Happened yesterday), Mumbai (at Blue Frog) and Bangalore today.
Artificial snow zones created at select PVR outlets in Delhi.
F Bar Delhi will have a lucky draw and winner gets a Lumia 800.
Blue Santas distributing chocolates and coupons in Malls in Delhi.
Free Food and Drink at PVR Mumbai.
Customers in Bangalore to be picked up in BMWs and Mercedes and taken for a short flight.
Para-Sailing in Bangalore.
Flash Cricket with well known cricketeers in Bangalore.
Salt Lake in Kolkatta will feature a “winter wonderland” created with artificial snow.

All that along with an ‘aggressive‘ advertising strategy, like painting Jet Airways planes, local buses and taxis with the Lumia colors, flash mobs in five cities simultaneously, etc. The Lumia phones went on sale on Thursday night in India, with the Lumia 800 for Rs 29,999 and the Lumia 710 for Rs 18,999.

Pretty intense marketing there, eh?
