The Nokia Lumia 800 gets a Firmware Update

The Nokia Lumia 800 just got a software update to version 7.10.7740.03 (1600.2475.7720.11414. Firmware revision numbers might differ by region and operator). The update just popped up on my UK unit a second ago, so chances are it’s rolling out regionally.

To check your windows phone software version, go to settings-> about-> more information. Your phone should be automatically checking for updates, but you can go to settings-> phone update to see if anything has been found. To update your phone, you will have to connect your device to Zune (on Windows) or Windows Phone Connector (on Mac). The change log includes:

This software update:

* Fixes an email issue related to Microsoft Exchange Server 2003. With this fix, when you reply to or forward a message, the original message is now included in your response.
* Fixes a voicemail notification issue.

Because updates are cumulative, when you install the latest update, you’ll also get all the previous updates we’ve released if your phone doesn’t have them already.

Nokia has said in the past that they would be issuing a software update to fix battery drain issues on the Lumia 800, so this jut might be that. So far we cant notice anything new on our unit, but we’ll let you know if we notice anything new!
