While we may still be awaiting the release of the Galaxy Nexus here is India, the 720p handset market is fast heating up. LG just announced the Nitro HD. An LTE phone witha 720p screen. Desperate to outdo it’s rival Samsung, the Nitro boasts a higher quality screen that does not have the PenTile sub-pixel arrangement often found in other high-res mobile displays these days.

Other specs include a 1.5 GHz dual core processor, an 8-megapixel camera and a total of 20GB of storage space (4GB internal, 16GB on an included microSD card). Launching in the US on AT&T on Dec 4 for $249.99. No news on its launch plans here in India.
