Nokia launches the Lumia 800 and Lumia 710 in India

Nokia launched the Lumia Windows Phones in India at an event here in Delhi today.

First up, the Lumia 800 is the first of two Windows Phones by the Finnish Giant, featuring a 3.7 Inch Clearblack AMOLED screen, a 1.4 Ghz processor, 16GB of storage and an 8 Megapixel Camera with an F/2.2 lens for better low light pictures. You can check out our hands-on with the Nokia Lumia 800 for a better idea of the smartphone. The company is marketing the devices towards the ‘Youth’ market, with the Black version being available initially in Mid-December followed by the Blue and Pink variants.

The Lumia 710 is the second Windows Phone from Nokia, and features an LCD Clearblack display, 5 Megapixel camera and the same 1.4 Ghz processor at the 800. Targeted towards a younger audience, there’s a removable battery cover, available with different color options in-box to match the live tile colors on Windows Phone. We weren’t able to get a clear answer on whether the 710 would also be available along with the 800 in mid-December. No mention of price yet unfortch.
