NFC on the Nokia N9

We’ve shown you before, how easy it is to transfer an image from one NFC-equipped device to another, on the Nokia 600 and 700. All it takes is a little tap, and you’re all set, transferring an image from one device to another, or some other form of data.

But what we didnt know you last time, was how easy it is to pair an NFC-equipped bluetooth headset, with an NFC-equipped smartphone. In this case, the Nokia N9. It’s just as easy to send an image from it to another NFC-equipped smartphone (didnt work with Android devices though).

You’ll have to remember to switch it on though, which is just one checkbox away in the settings menu. Confirming pairing is off by default, but I prefer to keep it on.

Once you do that, you’re good to go. Just tap the two NFC devices together lightly, and you’re paired! Tap again and you unpair. No more bluetooth pairing and menus. Check out the video below for a quick demo using the Nokia N9 and the Nokia BH-505, both supporting NFC capabilities:

Additionally, here’s a video from Nokia on how to share an Image using NFC, on the Nokia N9:

And how to pair the Nokia N9 with an NFC portable speaker:

Toldchya it was convenient.
